If you previously purchased God's Covenants and Restorations as an Amazon Kindle eBook, go to www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle , go to the books section, click on the + sign next to the God's Covenants and Restorations, and there you will see the content update availability; click it to download the free update.
For Barnes and Noble, they have instructed me to go the the NOOK program, archive the eBook, and then unarchive it and it will automatically download the updated file. This appears to work well in the NOOK for iPhone, but not on the NOOK for PC. I found that deleting the local copy on the NOOK for PC and then syncing again solved the problem. My own opinion is that the handling of text by the NOOK Book reader is superb, and certainly is more sophisticated than the Kindle reader. They also seem to be very willing to help with updated e-books at no additional charge to you.
Other internet vendors may cooperate in providing you with the updated e-book by sending you the new version through email, but you would need to call them. For example, Powell's Books will do this. Unfortunately, most vendors will not help you with updated e-books, and will want you to purchase another e-book to get the update.
